Religion

[edit]

The page is locked but it inaccurately inflates the Christianity stats to 38%. The 2023 census states that 16% of Albanians are Christian by faith. Is there a way to fix this? Saturnalia04 (talk) 18:32, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decrease

[edit]

Can somebody put template "Decrease" for population in infobox since Albania has lost huge number of residents? -- 188.120.118.65 (talk)

The GDP per capita needs to be updated since it is factually incorrect. It is based on the old Albania's population of ~2.8M while the latest 2023 Census revealed it to be ~2.4M (this is also present in the Wikipedia page itself). If you divide the total GDP nominal by the population number, you will get the correct GDP per capita. Please do the necessary modifications as inconsistencies like this only undermine the Wikipedia credibility as a reliable source of knowledge. 141.51.21.156 (talk) 12:43, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I suggest to update the economy paragraph adding some about the most relevant industry (construnction and real estate):

"In recent years, Tirana has experienced a significant construction and real estate boom, solidifying its position as Albania's rapidly growing economic center. According to the Bank of Albania, in the first half of 2024, the average housing price in the capital increased by 23.5% compared to the previous six months and by 11% compared to the second half of 2023. This growth was particularly pronounced in the city's central areas, accounting for 46% of sales volume during the observed period.

The construction sector has also seen substantial growth, with the gross value added (GVA) of construction representing 11.1% of the total in 2022—the highest percentage in Europe and double the European Union average.

This dynamism is driven by various factors, including migration to urban centers, remittances from the Albanian diaspora, and post-earthquake reconstruction efforts. Additionally, the burgeoning tourism sector has bolstered the demand for new hospitality and residential facilities.

These developments are transforming Tirana's urban landscape, reinforcing its role as Albania's economic and cultural hub." I suggest the same pictures from the italian page of it. Albnext (talk) 08:50, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
